Do you have loads of photos sitting in boxes and albums? I recently added a new branch of “Photography” to my business. Along with exceptional Photography, David Bailey Photography & Training now does High Resolution scanning of negatives, photos and slides along with photo restoration and printing. I also have a large range of Australian made Picture Frames.
In the following example, a very old Glass Slide from the Rose Stereograph Company was used to demonstrate how images can be scanned and repaired.
I used an Epson Scanner to get the best out of the Glass Slide and in a High Resolution format, it is exceptional. The image above is only a low resolution version of it.
With light shone through the Glass Slide from behind, you can see the negative easily. To save or print it, the scan then needs to be inverted to a positive like the above image. You can see this with the following images.
